During our winter topic this term the children have been learning and noticing changes when playing with ice and snow. The children have noticed changes and have talked freely about melting and the ways this can be done including through our own body heat and also through the use of warmer water and warmer air too. The children have initiated the use of hammers through this thinking process making the ice smaller therefore making it smaller to enable it to melt much quicker. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this exploration and learning and have commented "this is awesome!". The children have also been looking more closely at Arctic Animals and the habitats that they live in
