Emotional Well-Being

Interventions through literature

Stories are a powerful way to introduce and reinforce important aspects of social and emotional learning. Young children may experience a variety of emotions in response to:

  • A new sibling
  • Moving house
  • Being left at pre-school
  • Divorce
  • Bereavement

Warning signs could be:

  • A change in the childs behaviour
  • Emotionally volatile
  • Inability to interact with peers
  • Struggling to learn

Mrs Nicholson is our Emotional Health Co-ordinator. She will use short 1-1 sessions with your child, reading stories to improve their emotional resiliance. Please see your key person or any member of staff if you have any concerns regaring your childs emotional well-being.
